Each autumn, as the trees and hillsides of this historic gold mining town turn vibrant red and gold, the local streets come to life in celebration. The 2012 festival runs from Friday 20th - Sunday 29th April and features more than 50 events over the 10 day programme. There is a street parade, arts and craft market, ball, daily street entertainment with the Arrow Miner’s Band and Arrowtown’s cancan girls The Buckingham Belles, guided historical walks, a musical, aerobatic display, art exhibition, vintage car rally, jazz, cooking demonstration with Masterchef winner Brett McGregor, gold panning, lots of live music, workshops, a variety concert… and much more. Many events are free too!
