Over the long Easter weekend and all of the April school holidays you can visit Pukaha and see how many eggs you can spot around the forest. Put your egg count in the draw to win an annual Pukaha Family Membership!

Join in the fun at the Eggs, Eggs, Eggs discovery centre off the Kākā Cafe' with kids colouring pages, guess who's egg games and more.

Nationally it is also time to celebrate the Whio-Blueduck. April is whio awareness month. New Zealand's $10 note features the whio which shows just how special it is to us. All month you can play the "Flukey Whio" game.

For a gold coin donation you can choose a floating whio out of the "duck pond" and the colour on the bottom of it earns you a prize! If you are lucky you could be the one to win the " Flukey Whio" - if you pull this whio out of the pond you will win a Family Pass to come and visit again!

Join us on April 21st at 10am to "Get Bugged" by the World famous-Ruud Kleinpaste a.k.a -The Bug Man! Ruud will take groups of kids on a bug hunt and with his infectious style, enthuse and inspire your kids to connect with nature. Bookings are essential.

While the kids are having fun, take sometime to wander through our Paintings at Pukaha fundraiser. 36 local and national artist display there paintings of New Zealand flora and fauna. All the paintings are for sale with a generous donation from each sale going directly to Pukaha's forest restoration fund.
