Get ‘Brain Fit’ for 2019.

If you are forgetting people’s names, losing your keys or not feeling as alert as you once did it’s probably because your brain is not in as good a shape as it used to be. Just like any muscle, your brain just needs a regular workout to improve your memory power and the renowned Brainfit programme could be the perfect “personal trainer” for you and your brain this year.

Brainfit for Life™ classes are now being offered in Onehunga as a great way to help build and strengthen brain connections which serve as a valuable buffer against memory loss. Taught over a 4-week period by a trained facilitator - Jude Walter, the 1.5hr interactive Brainfit for Life™ workshops focus on 6 key memory skills that allow people to remain confident, independent and productive though out their lives.

Developed by The Memory Foundation, Brainfit for Life™ has been running for 10 years and draws on the internationally acclaimed research into age-related memory loss by New Zealander, Dr Allison Lamont who runs a successful Memory Clinic in Auckland.

Together with her sister Gillian Eadie, a career teacher and educator, they have spent several years developing the Brainfit programme and have supported more than 16,000 people on their brain health journey to date.

By the end of the Brainfit for Life™ training you will not only have increased confidence and self-belief regarding memory, you will understand how the memory works and take away a range of simple, practical strategies you can use to live a brain-healthy lifestyle every day, regardless of age.

These Onehunga Brainfit for Life© classes will be held on Friday mornings from 10am - 11.30am, starting Friday 22 March and running weekly until Friday 12 April. Classes cost just $197 for the 4 weeks and spaces are limited so book your place today at
