Put reality aside and immerse yourself in a genre-blurring 9 day festival, as THE EDGE presents a fresh addition to their 2012 line-up - New Performance Festival. This is where the status quo of theatre is threatened and the next generation of local and international performing artists call out to Auckland from 17th February.

New Performance Festival features breakthrough works that transcend the gaps of artistic convention and not only aspire to engage audiences but look rigorously at how each performance is made. New Performance Festival takes its lead from a burgeoning international movement, with artists forming their own tasty blend of performing art forms.

This hybrid festival showcases selected artists strongest, most innovative work, almost all of which has been created in the last 12 months and cited as “remarkable” in its new direction.

The festival runs from the 17th to the 25th of February.
